Fall Golf Tournament at Eagle Mountain Golf Course Pictures

On June 5, 2020 at the Skyway Golf Course in Tremonton, Utah the Box Elder School District Foundation (BESDF) hosted a best ball golf tournament to raise funds for the Foundation.  Each spring BESDF hosts this tournament at Skyway Golf.  In the past the tournament has raised between $6,000-$8,000.  This year because of the Covid-19 situation not as many teams signed up and with expenses the amount raised was around $4,000.

Seven Teams signed up and paid and only six teams came to play.  It was a beautiful day and being early in the summer many left with a healthy sunburn.  As the golfers enjoyed a luncheon the team with the lowest score was a team sponsored by Crump Reese Motor Company.  Crump Reese also sponsored a brand new car for a hole in one.  Sadly no one made a hole in one and the course officials said only a few of the golfers even made the green off of the Tee.

BESDF’s mission statement is “To build enduring partnerships between communities and schools of Box Elder School District.”  The Foundation sponsors many musical clinics, STEM activities and new and innovative projects that teachers create.  Please look on Box Elder School District’s Web Page www.besd.net and click on Foundation in the Blue Menu Bar.  This will help you learn more about the Foundation and all the good they are doing to promote education in our wonderful school district.
