New Discovery Teacher!
Ms. Barker - 4th Grade
Hello, my name is Karson Barker and I am going to be a fourth grade teacher here at Discovery. I just graduated in May of 2023 from Utah State University! One thing you should know about me is that I love sports! I grew up playing volleyball, softball and ice hockey, and really enjoyed being part of a team. But I also enjoy watching football and baseball; I am a big Boston Red Sox fan! Something on my bucket list is to travel all around the world. I love learning about the different countries and the cultures there. I am so excited for this school year and cannot wait to meet the incoming fourth graders!

New Discovery Teacher!
Mrs. Bott - 1st Grade
Hi, I’m Kaitlin Bott! I got married two summers ago to my best friend and we have two dogs we love to hunt with. I have a real passion for horses and enjoy riding dirt bikes and the outdoors. My dream vacation is Hawaii, and then Hawaii over again. I enjoy being active but also believe in sugar if you know what I mean.
I graduated from Utah State University so I bleed blue. Now I get to bleed blue again for the Discovery Dolphins! I’m really excited to be at Discovery and start my adventure in 1st grade!

Hello Discovery Families-
My name is Todd Barrow and I am going to be the new principal at Discovery next year. I've heard nothing but great things about Discovery and I am so excited to work with you and your kids for the upcoming school year! A little about me: My wife, Audrey, and I have four kids from ages 7 to 1 and we live in Brigham City. I began my career in education in a small school in western Colorado, teaching middle school Spanish, English As a Second Language, US History, and English. I moved to Utah to be the assistant principal here in the district at Harris Intermediate, then Bear River Middle, and now at Discovery. Some things I enjoy are camping in the mountains, family bike rides, ice fishing, birding, watching the Utah Jazz, and college football.

Due to inclement weather, we will be implementing a 2 hour delay for the start of school tomorrow, January 30th. All day kindergarten, grades 1-5, will begin at 10:30 AM. In light of this delay, breakfast will not be served, so please plan to have your students dropped off at around 10:15 AM. The first bell will ring at 10:25 AM, and the tardy bell will ring at 10:30 AM.
AM kindergarten will be held from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, while PM kindergarten will be held from 12:40 PM - 2:40 PM.
We kindly ask that you take extra caution while driving and we look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Stay safe!

Students were moving like “Super Kids” in Mrs. Bakers class during ELA!! Super Kids is our new English language arts program for K-2. Have your students introduced you to any of the Super Kids yet? If not, ask them about who they have met so far👍🏼
