"I am so excited to be at Golden Spike this year! I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's in Special Education with an emphasis in Mild/Moderate disabilities. I love all my students and love to help them learn and grow. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time being outside and going on adventures with my husband, playing games, watching movies, reading books, and doing crafts." "Hi! My name is Wendy Kidd and I have been teaching for 25 years. My favorite thing about teaching is helping kids discover that they can solve difficult problems and learn new things along the way. I love to read, do puzzles, and go sailing with my family at Bear Lake! I’m excited for the new year and new school!" We are thrilled to have Wendy Kidd as one of our third grade teachers.

"I am a wife and a mother of 3 children. I’ve taught in Box Elder School District for 18 years. I try to be kind and creative in my teaching." Starla Johnson will be one of our preschool teachers and is amazing!

"Besides loving to work with kids and help them find success; I am an adventurer who loves the outdoors and spending time with my family. My husband Dallin and I are currently remodeling our original 1960's home and loving it. When I grow up, I want to be a mom; but for now 20+ kids a year will suffice." The kindergarteners are going to love Stephanie Heaton as their teacher.

These amazing teachers spent the day learning how to engage students and adapt instruction through flexible seating and technology. "I have been teaching for 19 years, I am excited to start my 20th year at Golden Spike. I love helping kids learn and grow. When I am not at work I can be found reading, skiing, playing with my cats, cooking and spending time with my family." We are thankful to have Tifani Fisher as an early interventions classroom teacher.

"This is my first full year as a school counselor, but I was at Foothill elementary for the last little bit of the school year. In my spare time, I love playing music, being outdoors, hiking, doing yoga, and being with friends and family. I also am part of an improv comedy performing group called the Antics." Darci Davis will be one of our school counselors and we are lucky to have her!

Hello! My name is Dianna Serfustini and I am one of the school counselors at Golden Spike Elementary. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from the University of Utah in 2009 and I have spent most of my career helping at-risk children as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I love being a part of children's lives and helping them to reach their fullest potential.

"I have been a Speech Language Pathologist in BESD for 23 years. I enjoy quilting and camping with my family." Laura Wilkins is our Speech Language Pathologist and is amazing with students!

"I love teaching and learning languages. I want to help my students grow academically, thrive emotionally and blossom in moral development." Carol Colver will be joining our 3rd grade team as a DLI teacher. Welcome to the team Carol!

"I am finishing my last year in the school counseling program at USU. I love running, the outdoors, and spending time with my family" Ali Gerry will be a school counselor intern and we are lucky to have her.

Mrs. Sadler is passionate about teaching and spending time getting to know her students. She is a mom to 3 boys and can't believe how lucky she is to have them. She loves all things Disney and music. She can't wait for the start of the school year. Our 5th grade team is so lucky to have Mrs. Sadler joining us!

“Hi! My name is Morgan Florence and I am so excited to start teaching at Golden Spike! I always knew I wanted to be a teacher growing up and I love helping others!” Morgan will be joining our 4th grade team and the students are going to love her!

“I am super excited for this year and all the fun new adventures we will experience together! I live in Honeyville with my husband Craig and 4 kids. I have 3 older kids ages 20,19 and 18 and a 9 year old caboose.!! My favorite things to do is to go camping with my family, art, and read. I have had lots of teaching experience in the last 15 years including owning my own preschool, worked with teens that need a little extra support and have been a substitute teacher for all ages. 3 years ago I decided I loved being in the classroom so much that I wanted my own classroom. So, I went back to school and finished my teaching degree at Utah State University. I am excited to have my first permanent classroom here in at Golden Spike teaching the 4th grade.” We want to welcome Trisha Erickson to our 4th grade team! She is going to do great.

“This is my 20th year teaching and my seventh year with Chinese DLI. Math and U. S. History are the subjects I enjoy teaching the most, and fifth grade is my favorite place to be. I look forward to an exciting first year together at our new school!” Ann Jenkins is amazing and will be joining our 5th grade DLI team!
