About Us
Formerly known as Dale Young Community High, Sunrise High School was established in August, 2020. Sunrise High School is a community alternative high school for Box Elder School District. We house various service programs for the district such as Alternative High School Education, Adult Education, Youth-In-Care, and Independent Life Skills.
The school colors are blue and green and our mascot is the Phoenix. The Phoenix rises out of the ashes just as many of our students rise above adversity to gain a fresh start and obtain their high school diploma. The faculty and staff at Sunrise High work closely as a team with the student to help every student rise above their circumstances.
Sunrise High School is a Cognia Accredited high school and offers a traditional diploma, an Adult Education Secondary Diploma as well as GED preparation and testing services. This year at out June 15th 2023, 80 students earned their High School Diplomas, 7 earned their Adult Education Secondary Diploma, and 37 students earned their Utah High School Completion Diploma (GED), and 6 earned a high school pathway certificate.
